Artificial intelligence is transforming every organisation, but managing AI effectively requires more than technical knowledge. The PECB Certified Artificial Intelligence Manager (CAIM) programme equips professionals with the governance frameworks, practical tools, and strategic skills to manage, govern, and implement AI successfully — without needing to write a line of code.
Delivered by Jan Carroll, Ireland's PECB Authorised Silver Partner, over four live online sessions, this intensive programme bridges the gap between complex AI technology and real business results. You will leave with the skills to manage AI projects, govern AI risk, build interactive dashboards in Power BI, and automate workflows using AI agents — all through accessible, visual platforms designed for business leaders.

What is the CAIM — and who is it for?
The CAIM is a live, instructor-led programme — not eLearning. Four consecutive full days with Jan Carroll and a small cohort of professionals across sectors. This format enables deeper discussion, real-world application, and the kind of peer learning that self-paced study cannot replicate.
This course is designed for professionals who manage or oversee AI initiatives but do not need to code. It focuses on governance, strategy, and practical tools — Power BI for data visualisation and n8n for AI workflow automation — both delivered through visual, drag-and-drop interfaces.
This course is for:
- AI project and product managers responsible for planning and delivering AI initiatives
- Business leaders and programme directors overseeing AI across cross-functional teams
- Risk, compliance, and governance officers reviewing AI use cases and ensuring regulatory compliance
- IT managers and digital transformation professionals moving into AI leadership roles
- Team leaders in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and public services working with AI vendors and internal teams
What you will learn
By the end of the CAIM programme you will be able to:
- Explain how AI governance, leadership, and risk management intersect — and apply this to support compliant, responsible AI operations
- Align AI initiatives with organisational goals and stakeholder requirements to ensure clear ownership and measurable outcomes
- Evaluate and prioritise AI opportunities using practical assessment tools to identify high-value, feasible projects
- Design and implement interactive dashboards in Power BI for data-driven decision-making
- Build and orchestrate AI agents in n8n to automate workflows and increase operational efficiency
- Develop structured communication and change management plans to support smooth AI adoption across teams
Programme structure — four live days
The CAIM covers the complete AI management lifecycle across four intensive days:
Day 1 — Foundations of AI
Core AI concepts, global trends, strategic opportunity assessment, and AI lifecycle management. Understanding the business value of AI and how to identify high-impact use cases.
Day 2 — AI Governance
AI risk management, fairness, transparency, and compliance frameworks. Responsible AI governance including ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements (EU AI Act), and internal policy development.
Day 3 — Data-Driven Decision-Making and Power BI
Building interactive dashboards in Power BI. Data readiness assessment, data quality governance, and storytelling with data for business leaders.
Day 4 — AI Automation and n8n
Designing and deploying AI agents through visual interfaces. Workflow automation, AI agent orchestration, and integrating automation into operational processes — no coding required.
Day 5 (exam) — PECB Certification exam
The PECB Certified Artificial Intelligence Manager exam, covering all five competency domains.
Live online delivery — what this means
The CAIM at Fortify Institute is delivered live, not as recordings. Each session runs 9:30am–5:30pm Irish time with Jan Carroll and your cohort, with breaks built in throughout the day.
All sessions are recorded — if you miss a session, recordings are available. However, the live format is where the real value is: direct access to Jan, peer discussion, and real-time application of tools and frameworks.
The programme is delivered entirely online. No travel required. You participate from wherever you work.
What is the Fortify blended model?
In addition to the four live CAIM sessions, all Fortify students receive access to the Fortify Community platform throughout their studies — a peer learning space for questions, resources, and cohort discussion between sessions.
Jan's support does not end on Day 4. If you need additional support before sitting your exam, you can join a future cohort session at no extra cost.
PECB CAIM certification
After completing the four-day programme and passing the PECB Certified Artificial Intelligence Manager exam, you are eligible to apply for PECB certification.
Two credential levels:
- PECB Certified Artificial Intelligence Provisional Manager — awarded on passing the exam with no prior professional experience requirement.
- PECB Certified Artificial Intelligence Manager — awarded on passing the exam plus five years of professional experience, of which two years must be in AI management.
Both credentials require signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
The PECB CAIM exam covers five competency domains: AI foundations and strategy, AI governance and risk management, prompt engineering and decision intelligence, foundations of AI-driven automation, and generative AI and automation use cases.

Why choose Fortify Institute for your CAIM?
Fortify Institute is Ireland's PECB Authorised Silver Partner. Jan Carroll holds PECB certifications in ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor — the governance framework that underpins responsible AI management. The CAIM builds directly on that foundation, adding the practical tools, business leadership skills, and PECB credential that AI managers need in 2026 and beyond.
Cohorts are small by design. Every participant has direct access to Jan throughout all four days — not a large lecture hall experience.

Frequently asked questions
Is the CAIM relevant for EU AI Act compliance?
Yes. Day 2 of the CAIM specifically covers AI governance and compliance with evolving regulations including the EU AI Act. Participants leave with the frameworks to manage EU AI Act obligations within their organisation.
Do I need technical or coding experience?
No. The CAIM is designed for business leaders and managers. All practical labs use visual, drag-and-drop tools — Power BI and n8n — with no coding required.
Is this the same as ISO 42001 Lead Implementer training?
No. ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer trains professionals to implement an AI Management System (AIMS) framework within their organisation. The CAIM is a broader programme covering AI strategy, data visualisation, and workflow automation for AI managers. Many professionals pursue both — ISO 42001 LI for governance framework expertise and CAIM for practical AI management skills.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes. Email [email protected] to arrange invoiced payment for individuals or teams.
